The coming edition, Micam’88, will be held from September 15th to 18th at Fiera Milano. And it will be a very special Micam for everyone involved – exhibitors, visitors, and professionals in this sector at an international level – will be celebrating the first 50 years of this event!
The trade fair, a major event beyond the Alps, has once again perfected its analysis and profile-defining tools in order to accurately show a picture of products and public. Today, our world is ruled by online services, so the themicam.com website has been revised and optimized in the second half of 2017 to make browsing and interaction much more user-friendly. About 82% of visitors are using this new website. In general terms, 96% of all visitors to Micam’87 registered on line (82% of the website, and 14% by means of digital registration points). The past edition of Micam in Milan welcomed people from the five continents: most of them – 85.2% – came from Europe; 9.8% from Asia; 1.9%, from North America; 1.6% from Africa; 1% from South America, and 0.5% from Australia. The average participation rage of visitors over the past 8 editions is as follows: 84.5% Europe; 11.0% Asia; 1.8% North America; 1.5% Africa, 0.7% Australia, and 0.5% South America. In comparison to the winter edition the last one revealed there was an increase in the number of visitors from North America (+0.2), Africa (+0.3%) and South America (+0.5%).
At the same time, this last edition also revealed significant variations in the number of visitors from Spain, France, and Germany. Spanish visitors represented 5.5% of all Europeans and 4.7% of total visitors, while 48% of all Spanish visitors were retailers. Visitors from Spain grew in number by 9.7% in comparison to the edition of February 2018. France was represented by 4.3% of European visitors and 3.7% of visitors welcomed by Micam’87, with 60% of French visitors came from the retail sector.
