Ecotrends: Vegan shoes for Les Miserables


After a number of interviews with Paco Delgado, Costumes Director of Les Miserables, there was a request that stood out among all others: Anne Hathaway, performing as Fantine, wanted Vegan shoes, involving no components coming from the animal kingdom.

The trend for the ecologic and environmentally friendly became stronger in 2005, and not just in the food sector. Fashion is also under its influence. This year, the Portland Fashion Week featured  creations by eco designers.

There are a number of companies making eco-conscious footwear, like Nicora Johns, with the Green is not easy, but fabulous motto and collections of Vegan shoes combining fashion and ethics.
